Alessandra Watle Mele, better known as Alessandra, is a Norwegian-Italian singer-songwriter. In 2022, she competed in the seventh season of The Voice – Norges beste stemme, making it to the live stages. Her song “Queen of Kings” has been chosen to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
Mele was born in Pietra Ligure, Savona, on September 5, 2002, to an Italian father from Albenga and a Norwegian mother from Stathelle, and grew up in Cisano sul Neva. She won the fifth season of VB Factor, a local talent show in the Val Bormida region when she was twelve years old. After graduating from high school in 2021, she traveled to Porsgrunn, Norway, to live with her maternal grandparents before traveling to Lillehammer to study at the Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries (LIMPI).
Mele competed in the seventh season of The Voice – Norges beste stemme, the Norwegian version of The Voice series, in 2022. She joined coach Espen Lind’s team after her Blind Audition. In the live shows, she was eliminated.
