Lee Sang-yi (이상이; born November 27, 1991) is a South Korean actor, musical actor, and singer. He is best known for his roles in the television series Once Again (2020), Youth of May (2021), and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021). As a singer, he is best known for being a member of the vocal group MSG Wannabe.
Lee was born in Ansan, South Korea, and developed an interest in acting during his elementary school years. He attended Jeongji Elementary School and Wonil Middle School, before enrolling in the Department of Theater and Film at Anyang Arts High School. After graduating from high school, Lee studied drama at the Korea National University of Arts, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Lee made his television debut in 2017 in the recurring role of Oh Dal-soo in the series Manhole. He has since appeared in several other popular television series, including Prison Playbook (2017), To. Jenny (2018), Voice 2 (2018), Once Again (2020), Youth of May (2021), and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021).
In addition to his acting career, Lee is also a talented singer. In 2021, he joined the vocal group MSG Wannabe, which was formed on the music variety show King of Mask Singer. MSG Wannabe quickly became one of the most popular groups in South Korea, and Lee’s singing skills and stage presence were widely praised.
