Leonardo Máximo Sbaraglia (born June 30, 1970) is an Argentine actor, with extensive credits in both Argentina and Spain. He has also worked in Mexico and was cast in his first English-language role in the 2012 film Red Lights. Sbaraglia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Roxana Randon, a local actress and theater coach. He began his acting career at the age of 16 in the 1986 political documentary drama La noche de los lápices, directed by Héctor Olivera. In 1987, he gained popularity among Argentine youth for his role in the TV series Clave de sol.
In the following years, Sbaraglia starred in numerous TV and film productions, as well as in theatre. He worked with some of the most renowned Argentine filmmakers, including Marcelo Piñeyro (Tango feroz: la leyenda de Tanguito, Plata quemada), Juan José Campanella (El mismo amor, la misma lluvia), and Lucrecia Martel (La ciénaga, Zama).
